Mark Pailing

In my work I use AFM to look at DNA molecules and its’ interactions with proteins. Specifically I am interested in single molecule visualisation of DNA bound to the repair enzyme Poly ADP-ribose polymerase. As this protein is an exciting target for targeted cancer therapies. Having completed my undergraduate in Biochemistry at the University of Southampton and my masters in Molecular and Cellular Biosciences at Imperial College London, I am excited to further my studies in structural biology here in the Hoogenboom group.
