Emily Walsh

Emily is an MBPhD student in the Hoogenboom Lab. She has completed 4 years of the 6 year Medicine MBBS at UCL Medical School, and will be returning to finish her degree after completing her PhD.

Emily completed her iBSc in Medical Sciences with Immunology, Infection and Cell Pathology in 2020.

In the Hoogenboom Lab, Emily is hoping to use Lattice Light Sheet Microscopy to look at the CAR-T cell immune synapse with target cells, and how they protect themselves from death when killing cancer cells. She is working on this with help from Professor Waseem Qasim at the Great Ormond Street Institute for Child Health.
