Camilla Dondi

Camilla is currently undertaking a PhD jointly between Bart’s group and the
National Physical Laboratory (Biometrology group) to study cell-matrix
interactions in novel scaffolds using correlative imaging techniques.

Prior to joining NPL in 2019, Camilla completed an MSc in Biomedical Engineering
in the Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering pathway of Imperial College London.
The research focused on characterising in vitro and in vivo an injectable hydrogel
patch for myocardial regeneration after infarction.

In her PhD work, she is developing novel self-assembling peptide hydrogels and
using atomic force microscopy and fluorescent microscopy techniques for the
characterisation of these biomaterials used for 3D cell culture.
